Still keeping up with the Be Prepared theme: this morning pea soup happened.
Pea soup: 250 g dried green (or yellow) peas soaked overnight, boiled for 1.5-2 hours in 1.5 l of fresh water with a chopped stalk of celery, some grated horseradish and 1 tsp dried marjoram. Season with salt. (Pour in boxes to freeze for later; I got three servings. I’d have made a double batch but my biggest pot is 3 l and I didn’t want to keep checking for spillage…)
