The quickest lunch ever

Quick cabbage

No prizes for looks here but don't let that put you off.

OK so this is only quick if you already have left-over rice (or any other grain) in the fridge, but assuming you do it doesn’t get much quicker than this. I love cabbage and one of the many wonderful things about it is the fact that you can cook it for hours (as per yesterday’s post) or not at all and it’s always good. This meal falls somewhere in between. Just chop up your cabbage and give it a few minutes on the frying pan with some toasted sesame oil. Add cooked rice, some tamari/soy sauce, a touch of brown rice vinegar and, if you like, some cane syrup. When the rice is warm tear in maybe half a sheet of nori, in small bits, mix and serve with parsley. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: cabbage = comfort. :)
