Affirmative, optimistic and democratic

Says The Guardian:

Dancing is affirmative, optimistic and democratic. It embodies the idea that the world can be a better and a happier place. Those are useful ideas in difficult times.

I agree. The question remains whether one can make a living out of dancing, or teaching dancing, in difficult times. Also, the democracy of dance is not that obvious to the accidental observer.

(By the way, I’m finally on the mend. Slowly but surely. I’m now trying to banish all work-related thoughts for two-three days and hoping to get some well-earned non-bedridden rest. And a bit of exercise, eventually. Really looking forward to that.)
